Farmers traded friut and cheese. they would sell acrobats, dancers, and slaves in the Agora. people didn't want to travel far because there wern't good roads. Oil, wine, pottery, and metel were main exports. Jars, vases,and jugs were needed to carry water, and people wanted them badly. Phoenicians were great traders, and the greek alphabet came from them. Greeks mainly traded with Italy and france. Most coins had the head of rulers, or traded goods. Also trade timber, minerals, slaves, marble, and glass. Most houses had at least one slave, but some waelthy people could own up to fifty.

    • Agriculture was an important enonomic activity. (Farming) Land is rocky iwth little fertile soil, so most farms are small. Corn and wheat are main crops along with olives. Leading producers of olives and raisins. Also cotton, corn, oranges, peaches, tomatoes, potatos, sugar, and beets. Important livestock raised is poultry. Food was imported and exported in large quantities. Greece has many islands so they traded by sea a lot.

Went to Babylon,Trace, and the Black Sea to trade. 1250B.C. early Greek cities were burned and destroyed. Famine caused people to attack mainland. Next 150 years, cities disappeared, and writting was forgotten. Dark Age, hadly andy new buildings made from brick or stone.
